Ephesians 5:22-33

CSB 22 Wives, submit to your own husbands as to the Lord, NIV 22 Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. CSB 23 for the husband is head of the wife as also Christ is head of the church. He is the Savior of the body. NIV 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. CSB 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so wives should [submit] to their husbands in everything. NIV 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. CSB 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as also Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her, NIV 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her CSB 26 to make her holy, cleansing her in the washing of water by the word. NIV 26 to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, CSB 27 He did this to present the church to Himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but holy and blameless. NIV 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. CSB 28 In the same way, husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. NIV 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. CSB 29 For no one ever hates his own flesh, but provides and cares for it, just as Christ does for the church, NIV 29 After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church-- CSB 30 since we are members of His body. NIV 30 for we are members of his body. CSB 31 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. NIV 31 "For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh." CSB 32 This mystery is profound, but I am talking about Christ and the church. NIV 32 This is a profound mystery--but I am talking about Christ and the church. CSB 33 To sum up, each one of you is to love his wife as himself, and the wife is to respect her husband. NIV 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
