NKJV 1 And God spoke all these words, saying: NIV 1 And God spoke all these words: NKJV 2 "I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. NKJV 5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, NIV 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, NKJV 6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. NIV 6 but showing love to a thousand [ generations] of those who love me and keep my commandments.
