Exodus 25

WBT 1 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, NIV 1 The LORD said to Moses, WBT 2 Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring me an offering: of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart ye shall take my offering. NIV 2 "Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to receive the offering for me from each man whose heart prompts him to give. WBT 3 And this [is] the offering which ye shall take of them; gold, and silver and brass, NIV 3 These are the offerings you are to receive from them: gold, silver and bronze; WBT 4 And blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' [hair]. NIV 4 blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen; goat hair; WBT 5 And rams' skins dyed red, and badgers' skins, and shittim wood. NIV 5 ram skins dyed red and hides of sea cows; acacia wood; WBT 6 Oil for the light, spices for anointing oil, and for sweet incense, NIV 6 olive oil for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense; WBT 7 Onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod, and in the breast-plate. NIV 7 and onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece. WBT 8 And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them. NIV 8 "Then have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them. WBT 9 According to all that I show thee [after] the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all its instruments, even so shall ye make [it]. NIV 9 Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you. WBT 10 And they shall make an ark [of] shittim wood: two cubits and a half [shall be] its length, and a cubit and a half its breadth, and a cubit and a half its hight. NIV 10 "Have them make a chest of acacia wood--two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high. WBT 11 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, within and without shalt thou overlay it, and shalt make upon it a crown of gold around it. NIV 11 Overlay it with pure gold, both inside and out, and make a gold molding around it. WBT 12 And thou shalt cast four rings of gold for it, and put [them] in its four corners; and two rings [shall be] in the one side of it, and two rings in the other side of it. NIV 12 Cast four gold rings for it and fasten them to its four feet, with two rings on one side and two rings on the other. WBT 13 And thou shalt make staffs [of] shittim wood, and overlay them with gold. NIV 13 Then make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. WBT 14 And thou shalt put the staffs into the rings by the sides of the ark, that the ark may be borne with them. NIV 14 Insert the poles into the rings on the sides of the chest to carry it. WBT 15 The staffs shall be in the rings of the ark: they shall not be taken from it. NIV 15 The poles are to remain in the rings of this ark; they are not to be removed. WBT 16 And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee. NIV 16 Then put in the ark the Testimony, which I will give you. WBT 17 And thou shalt make a mercy-seat [of] pure gold: two cubits and a half [shall be] its length, and a cubit and a half its breadth. NIV 17 "Make an atonement cover of pure gold--two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide. WBT 18 And thou shalt make two cherubim [of] gold, [of] beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy-seat. NIV 18 And make two cherubim out of hammered gold at the ends of the cover. WBT 19 And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: [even] of the mercy-seat shall ye make the cherubim on its two ends. NIV 19 Make one cherub on one end and the second cherub on the other; make the cherubim of one piece with the cover, at the two ends. WBT 20 And the cherubim shall stretch forth [their] wings on high, covering the mercy-seat with their wings, and their faces [shall look] one to another; towards the mercy-seat shall the faces of the cherubim be. NIV 20 The cherubim are to have their wings spread upward, overshadowing the cover with them. The cherubim are to face each other, looking toward the cover. WBT 21 And thou shalt put the mercy-seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee. NIV 21 Place the cover on top of the ark and put in the ark the Testimony, which I will give you. WBT 22 And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy-seat, from between the two cherubim which [are] upon the ark of the testimony, of all [things] which I will give thee in commandment to the children of Israel. NIV 22 There, above the cover between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the Testimony, I will meet with you and give you all my commands for the Israelites. WBT 23 Thou shalt also make a table [of] shittim wood: its length shall be two cubits, and its breadth a cubit, and its hight a cubit and a half. NIV 23 "Make a table of acacia wood--two cubits long, a cubit wide and a cubit and a half high. WBT 24 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, and make to it a crown of gold around it. NIV 24 Overlay it with pure gold and make a gold molding around it. WBT 25 And thou shalt make to it a border of an hand-breadth around it, and thou shalt make a golden crown to its border around it. NIV 25 Also make around it a rim a handbreadth wide and put a gold molding on the rim. WBT 26 And thou shalt make for it four rings of gold, and put the rings in the four corners that [are] on its four feet. NIV 26 Make four gold rings for the table and fasten them to the four corners, where the four legs are. WBT 27 Over against the border shall the rings be for places of the staffs to bear the table. NIV 27 The rings are to be close to the rim to hold the poles used in carrying the table. WBT 28 And thou shalt make the staffs [of] shittim wood, and overlay them with gold, that the table may be borne with them. NIV 28 Make the poles of acacia wood, overlay them with gold and carry the table with them. WBT 29 And thou shalt make its dishes, and its spoons, and its covers, and its bowls, to cover it with: [of] pure gold shalt thou make them. NIV 29 And make its plates and dishes of pure gold, as well as its pitchers and bowls for the pouring out of offerings. WBT 30 And thou shalt set upon the table show-bread before me always. NIV 30 Put the bread of the Presence on this table to be before me at all times. WBT 31 And thou shalt make a candlestick [of] pure gold: [of] beaten work shall the candlestick be made: its shaft, and its branches, its bowls, its knobs, and its flowers, shall be of the same. NIV 31 "Make a lampstand of pure gold and hammer it out, base and shaft; its flowerlike cups, buds and blossoms shall be of one piece with it. WBT 32 And six branches shall extend from the sides of it; three branches of the candlestick from the one side, and three branches of the candlestick from the other side: NIV 32 Six branches are to extend from the sides of the lampstand--three on one side and three on the other. WBT 33 Three bowls made like to almonds, [with] a knob and a flower in one branch; and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch, [with] a knob and a flower: so in the six branches that project from the candlestick. NIV 33 Three cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms are to be on one branch, three on the next branch, and the same for all six branches extending from the lampstand. WBT 34 And in the candlesticks [shall be] four bowls made like to almonds, [with] their knobs and their flowers. NIV 34 And on the lampstand there are to be four cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms. WBT 35 And [there shall be] a knob under two branches of the same, and a knob under two branches of the same, and a knob under two branches of the same, according to the six branches that project from the candlestick. NIV 35 One bud shall be under the first pair of branches extending from the lampstand, a second bud under the second pair, and a third bud under the third pair--six branches in all. WBT 36 Their knobs and their branches shall be of the same: all of it [shall be] one beaten work [of] pure gold. NIV 36 The buds and branches shall all be of one piece with the lampstand, hammered out of pure gold. WBT 37 And thou shalt make its seven lamps: and they shall light its lamps, that they may give light over against it. NIV 37 "Then make its seven lamps and set them up on it so that they light the space in front of it. WBT 38 And its tongs, and its snuff-dishes, [shall be of] pure gold. NIV 38 Its wick trimmers and trays are to be of pure gold. WBT 39 [Of] a talent of pure gold shall he make it, with all these vessels. NIV 39 A talent of pure gold is to be used for the lampstand and all these accessories. WBT 40 And look that thou make [them] after their pattern, which was shown thee on the mount. NIV 40 See that you make them according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.
