17 And they will raise a lament over you, and they will say to you, 'How you have been lost [who was] inhabited from<note: Or "on"> [the] seas; the city that was praised, that was strong. It [is] [located] on the sea, and its inhabitants imposed their terror {on all of its inhabitants}.<note: Literally "to all of its inhabitants">
17 Then they will take up a lament concerning you and say to you: “ ‘How you are destroyed, city of renown, peopled by men of the sea! You were a power on the seas, you and your citizens; you put your terror on all who lived there.
