1 Y me dijo: Hijo de hombre, está sobre tus pies, y hablaré contigo.

He said to me, “Son of man, stand up on your feet and I will speak to you.”
2 Y entró espíritu en mí luego que me habló, y me afirmó sobre mis pies, y oí al que me hablaba.

As he spoke, the Spirit came into me and raised me to my feet, and I heard him speaking to me.
3 Y me dijo: Hijo de hombre, yo te envío a los hijos de Israel, a gentiles rebeldes que se rebelaron contra mí; ellos y sus padres se rebelaron contra mí, hasta este mismo día.

He said: “Son of man, I am sending you to the Israelites, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against me; they and their ancestors have been in revolt against me to this very day.
4 Y a hijos <I>que son</I> duros de rostro y fuertes de corazón, yo te envío, y les dirás: Así dijo el Señor DIOS.

The people to whom I am sending you are obstinate and stubborn. Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says.’
5 Y ellos no oirán, ni cesarán, porque son casa rebelde; mas conocerán que hubo profeta entre ellos.

And whether they listen or fail to listen—for they are a rebellious people—they will know that a prophet has been among them.
6 Y tú, hijo de hombre, no temas de ellos, ni tengas miedo de sus palabras, porque <I>son</I> rebeldes; aunque te hallas <I>entre</I> espinas, y tú moras con abrojos, no tengas miedo de sus palabras, ni temas delante de ellos, porque son casa rebelde.

And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them or their words. Do not be afraid, though briers and thorns are all around you and you live among scorpions. Do not be afraid of what they say or be terrified by them, though they are a rebellious people.
7 Les hablarás mis palabras, mas no oirán ni cesarán; porque son rebeldes.

You must speak my words to them, whether they listen or fail to listen, for they are rebellious.
8 Mas tú, hijo de hombre, oye lo que yo te hablo: No seas <I>tú</I> rebelde como la casa rebelde; abre tu boca, y come lo que yo te doy.

But you, son of man, listen to what I say to you. Do not rebel like that rebellious people; open your mouth and eat what I give you.”
9 Y miré, y he aquí <I>una</I> mano me fue enviada, y en ella había <I>un</I> rollo de libro.

Then I looked, and I saw a hand stretched out to me. In it was a scroll,
10 Y lo extendió delante de mí, y estaba escrito delante y detrás; y había escritas en él endechas, y lamentaciones, y ayes.

which he unrolled before me. On both sides of it were written words of lament and mourning and woe.
