3 And they set the altar upon its bases, for fear <em>was</em> upon them because of the peoples of those lands, and they offered burnt offerings upon it unto the LORD, <em>even</em> burnt offerings morning and evening.
3 Despite their fear of the peoples around them, they built the altar on its foundation and sacrificed burnt offerings on it to the LORD, both the morning and evening sacrifices.
