Galatians 5:1-6

CEB 1 Christ has set us free for freedom. Therefore, stand firm and don't submit to the bondage of slavery again. NIV 1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. CEB 2 Look, I, Paul, am telling you that if you have yourselves circumcised, having Christ won't help you. NIV 2 Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all. CEB 3 Again I swear to every man who has himself circumcised that he is required to do the whole Law. NIV 3 Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law. CEB 4 You people who are trying to be made righteous by the Law have been estranged from Christ. You have fallen away from grace! NIV 4 You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. CEB 5 We eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness through the Spirit by faith. NIV 5 But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope. CEB 6 Being circumcised or not being circumcised doesn't matter in Christ Jesus, but faith working through love does matter. NIV 6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.
