Galatians 6

NLT 1 Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself. NIV 1 Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. NLT 2 Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. NIV 2 Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. NLT 3 If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important. NIV 3 If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. NLT 4 Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else. NIV 4 Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else, NLT 5 For we are each responsible for our own conduct. NIV 5 for each one should carry his own load. NLT 6 Those who are taught the word of God should provide for their teachers, sharing all good things with them. NIV 6 Anyone who receives instruction in the word must share all good things with his instructor. NLT 7 Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. NIV 7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. NLT 8 Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. NIV 8 The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. NLT 9 So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. NIV 9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. NLT 10 Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith. NIV 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. NLT 11 NIV 11 See what large letters I use as I write to you with my own hand! NLT 12 Those who are trying to force you to be circumcised want to look good to others. They don’t want to be persecuted for teaching that the cross of Christ alone can save. NIV 12 Those who want to make a good impression outwardly are trying to compel you to be circumcised. The only reason they do this is to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ. NLT 13 And even those who advocate circumcision don’t keep the whole law themselves. They only want you to be circumcised so they can boast about it and claim you as their disciples. NIV 13 Not even those who are circumcised obey the law, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast about your flesh. NLT 14 As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, my interest in this world has been crucified, and the world’s interest in me has also died. NIV 14 May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. NLT 15 It doesn’t matter whether we have been circumcised or not. What counts is whether we have been transformed into a new creation. NIV 15 Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation. NLT 16 May God’s peace and mercy be upon all who live by this principle; they are the new people of God. NIV 16 Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule, even to the Israel of God. NLT 17 From now on, don’t let anyone trouble me with these things. For I bear on my body the scars that show I belong to Jesus. NIV 17 Finally, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus. NLT 18 Dear brothers and sisters, may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. NIV 18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers. Amen.
