HNV 1 The man knew Havah his wife. She conceived, and gave birth to Kayin, and said, "I have gotten a man with the LORD's help." NIV 3 In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the LORD. HNV 4 Hevel also brought some of the firstborn of his flock and of the fat of it. The LORD respected Hevel and his offering, NIV 4 But Abel brought fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering, HNV 5 but he didn't respect Kayin and his offering. Kayin was very angry, and the expression on his face fell. Why has the expression of your face fallen? NIV 6 Then the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast?
