Genesis 7

RHE 1 And the Lord said to him: Go in, thou and all thy house, into the ark: for thee I have seen just before me in this generation. NIV 1 The LORD then said to Noah, "Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation. RHE 2 Of all clean beasts take seven and seven, the male and the female. NIV 2 Take with you seven of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and two of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate, RHE 3 But of the beasts that are unclean two and two, the male and the female. Of the fowls also of the air seven and seven, the male and the female: that seed may be saved upon the face of the whole earth. NIV 3 and also seven of every kind of bird, male and female, to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth. RHE 4 For yet a while, and after seven days, I will rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights: and I will destroy every substance that I have made, from the face of the earth. NIV 4 Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made." RHE 5 And Noe did all things which the Lord had commanded him. NIV 5 And Noah did all that the LORD commanded him. RHE 6 And he was six hundred years old, when the waters of the flood overflowed the earth. NIV 6 Noah was six hundred years old when the floodwaters came on the earth. RHE 7 And Noe went in and his sons, his wife and the wives of his sons with him into the ark, because of the waters of the flood. NIV 7 And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood. RHE 8 And of beasts clean and unclean, and of fowls, and of every thing that moveth upon the earth, NIV 8 Pairs of clean and unclean animals, of birds and of all creatures that move along the ground, RHE 9 Two and two went in to Noe into the ark, male and female, as the Lord had commanded Noe. NIV 9 male and female, came to Noah and entered the ark, as God had commanded Noah. RHE 10 And after the seven days were passed, the waters of the flood overflowed the earth. NIV 10 And after the seven days the floodwaters came on the earth. RHE 11 In the six hundredth year of the life of Noe, in the second month, in the seventeenth day of the month, all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the floodgates of heaven were opened: NIV 11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, on the seventeenth day of the second month--on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened. RHE 12 And the rain fell upon the earth forty days and forty nights. NIV 12 And rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights. RHE 13 In the selfsame day Noe, and Sem, and Cham, and Japheth, his sons: his wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, went into the ark. NIV 13 On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, together with his wife and the wives of his three sons, entered the ark. RHE 14 They and every beast according to its kind, and all the cattle in their kind, and every thing that moveth upon the earth, according to its kind, and every fowl according to its kind, all birds, and all that fly, NIV 14 They had with them every wild animal according to its kind, all livestock according to their kinds, every creature that moves along the ground according to its kind and every bird according to its kind, everything with wings. RHE 15 Went in to Noe into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein was the breath of life. NIV 15 Pairs of all creatures that have the breath of life in them came to Noah and entered the ark. RHE 16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the Lord shut him in on the outside. NIV 16 The animals going in were male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah. Then the LORD shut him in. RHE 17 And the flood was forty days upon the earth: and the waters increased, and lifted up the ark on high from the earth. NIV 17 For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and as the waters increased they lifted the ark high above the earth. RHE 18 For they overflowed exceedingly: and filled all on the face of the earth: and the ark was carried upon the waters. NIV 18 The waters rose and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water. RHE 19 And the waters prevailed beyond measure upon the earth: and all the high mountains under the whole heaven were covered. NIV 19 They rose greatly on the earth, and all the high mountains under the entire heavens were covered. RHE 20 The water was fifteen cubits higher than the mountains which it covered. NIV 20 The waters rose and covered the mountains to a depth of more than twenty feet. RHE 21 And all flesh was destroyed that moved upon the earth, both of fowl and of cattle, and of beasts, and of all creeping things that creep upon the earth: and all men. NIV 21 Every living thing that moved on the earth perished--birds, livestock, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all mankind. RHE 22 And all things wherein there is the breath of life on the earth, died. NIV 22 Everything on dry land that had the breath of life in its nostrils died. RHE 23 And he destroyed all the substance that was upon the earth, from man even to beast, and the creeping things and fowls of the air: and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noe only remained, and they that were with him in the ark. NIV 23 Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; men and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds of the air were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark. RHE 24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth a hundred and fifty days. NIV 24 The waters flooded the earth for a hundred and fifty days.
