Genesis 7:11-24

NAS 11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the same day all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the floodgates of the sky were opened. NIV 11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, on the seventeenth day of the second month--on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened. NAS 12 The rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights. NIV 12 And rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights. NAS 13 On the very same day Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife and the three wives of his sons with them, entered the ark, NIV 13 On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, together with his wife and the wives of his three sons, entered the ark. NAS 14 they and every beast after its kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind, all sorts of birds. NIV 14 They had with them every wild animal according to its kind, all livestock according to their kinds, every creature that moves along the ground according to its kind and every bird according to its kind, everything with wings. NAS 15 So they went into the ark to Noah, by twos of all flesh in which was the breath of life. NIV 15 Pairs of all creatures that have the breath of life in them came to Noah and entered the ark. NAS 16 Those that entered, male and female of all flesh, entered as God had commanded him; and the LORD closed it behind him. NIV 16 The animals going in were male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah. Then the LORD shut him in. NAS 17 Then the flood came upon the earth for forty days, and the water increased and lifted up the ark, so that it rose above the earth. NIV 17 For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and as the waters increased they lifted the ark high above the earth. NAS 18 The water prevailed and increased greatly upon the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water. NIV 18 The waters rose and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the water. NAS 19 The water prevailed more and more upon the earth, so that all the high mountains everywhere under the heavens were covered. NIV 19 They rose greatly on the earth, and all the high mountains under the entire heavens were covered. NAS 20 The water prevailed fifteen cubits higher, and the mountains were covered. NIV 20 The waters rose and covered the mountains to a depth of more than twenty feet. NAS 21 All flesh that moved on the earth perished, birds and cattle and beasts and every swarming thing that swarms upon the earth, and all mankind; NIV 21 Every living thing that moved on the earth perished--birds, livestock, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all mankind. NAS 22 of all that was on the dry land, all in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, died. NIV 22 Everything on dry land that had the breath of life in its nostrils died. NAS 23 Thus He blotted out every living thing that was upon the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky, and they were blotted out from the earth; and only Noah was left, together with those that were with him in the ark. NIV 23 Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; men and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds of the air were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark. NAS 24 The water prevailed upon the earth one hundred and fifty days. NIV 24 The waters flooded the earth for a hundred and fifty days.
