Genesis 9:8-17

CSB 8 Then God said to Noah and his sons with him, NIV 8 Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him: CSB 9 "Understand that I am confirming My covenant with you and your descendants after you, NIV 9 "I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you CSB 10 and with every living creature that is with you-birds, livestock, and all wildlife of the earth that are with you-all the animals of the earth that came out of the ark. NIV 10 and with every living creature that was with you--the birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you--every living creature on earth. CSB 11 I confirm My covenant with you that never again will all flesh be wiped out by the waters of a deluge; there will never again be a deluge to destroy the earth." NIV 11 I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth." CSB 12 And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant I am making between Me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all future generations: NIV 12 And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: CSB 13 I have placed My bow in the clouds, and it will be a sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. NIV 13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. CSB 14 Whenever I form clouds over the earth and the bow appears in the clouds, NIV 14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, CSB 15 I will remember My covenant between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh: water will never again become a deluge to destroy all flesh. NIV 15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. CSB 16 The bow will be in the clouds, and I will look at it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh on earth." NIV 16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth." CSB 17 God said to Noah, "This is the sign of the covenant that I have confirmed between Me and all flesh on earth." NIV 17 So God said to Noah, "This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth."
