9 Por esto fue llamado el nombre de ella Babel, porque allí mezcló el SEÑOR el lenguaje de toda la tierra, y de allí los esparció sobre la faz de toda la tierra.

That is why it was called Babel —because there the LORD confused the language of the whole world. From there the LORD scattered them over the face of the whole earth.
