Isaiah 28:23-29

RSV 23 Give ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech. NIV 23 Listen and hear my voice; pay attention and hear what I say. RSV 24 Does he who plows for sowing plow continually? does he continually open and harrow his ground? NIV 24 When a farmer plows for planting, does he plow continually? Does he keep on breaking up and harrowing the soil? RSV 25 When he has leveled its surface, does he not scatter dill, sow cummin, and put in wheat in rows and barley in its proper place, and spelt as the border? NIV 25 When he has leveled the surface, does he not sow caraway and scatter cummin? Does he not plant wheat in its place, barley in its plot, and spelt in its field? RSV 26 For he is instructed aright; his God teaches him. NIV 26 His God instructs him and teaches him the right way. RSV 27 Dill is not threshed with a threshing sledge, nor is a cart wheel rolled over cummin; but dill is beaten out with a stick, and cummin with a rod. NIV 27 Caraway is not threshed with a sledge, nor is a cartwheel rolled over cummin; caraway is beaten out with a rod, and cummin with a stick. RSV 28 Does one crush bread grain? No, he does not thresh it for ever; when he drives his cart wheel over it with his horses, he does not crush it. NIV 28 Grain must be ground to make bread; so one does not go on threshing it forever. Though he drives the wheels of his threshing cart over it, his horses do not grind it. RSV 29 This also comes from the LORD of hosts; he is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in wisdom. NIV 29 All this also comes from the LORD Almighty, wonderful in counsel and magnificent in wisdom.
