Isaiah 32:5-8

NAS 5 No longer will the fool be called noble, Or the rogue be spoken of as generous. NIV 5 No longer will the fool be called noble nor the scoundrel be highly respected. NAS 6 For a fool speaks nonsense, And his heart inclines toward wickedness: To practice ungodliness and to speak error against the LORD , To keep the hungry person unsatisfied And to withhold drink from the thirsty. NIV 6 For the fool speaks folly, his mind is busy with evil: He practices ungodliness and spreads error concerning the LORD; the hungry he leaves empty and from the thirsty he withholds water. NAS 7 As for a rogue, his weapons are evil; He devises wicked schemes To destroy the afflicted with slander , Even though the needy one speaks what is right. NIV 7 The scoundrel's methods are wicked, he makes up evil schemes to destroy the poor with lies, even when the plea of the needy is just. NAS 8 But the noble man devises noble plans; And by noble plans he stands. NIV 8 But the noble man makes noble plans, and by noble deeds he stands.
