Isaiah 43:20-28

NRS 20 The wild animals will honor me, the jackals and the ostriches; for I give water in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, to give drink to my chosen people, NIV 20 The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the desert and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen, NRS 21 the people whom I formed for myself so that they might declare my praise. NIV 21 the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise. NRS 22 Yet you did not call upon me, O Jacob; but you have been weary of me, O Israel! NIV 22 "Yet you have not called upon me, O Jacob, you have not wearied yourselves for me, O Israel. NRS 23 You have not brought me your sheep for burnt offerings, or honored me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with offerings, or wearied you with frankincense. NIV 23 You have not brought me sheep for burnt offerings, nor honored me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with grain offerings nor wearied you with demands for incense. NRS 24 You have not bought me sweet cane with money, or satisfied me with the fat of your sacrifices. But you have burdened me with your sins; you have wearied me with your iniquities. NIV 24 You have not bought any fragrant calamus for me, or lavished on me the fat of your sacrifices. But you have burdened me with your sins and wearied me with your offenses. NRS 25 I, I am He who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins. NIV 25 "I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more. NRS 26 Accuse me, let us go to trial; set forth your case, so that you may be proved right. NIV 26 Review the past for me, let us argue the matter together; state the case for your innocence. NRS 27 Your first ancestor sinned, and your interpreters transgressed against me. NIV 27 Your first father sinned; your spokesmen rebelled against me. NRS 28 Therefore I profaned the princes of the sanctuary, I delivered Jacob to utter destruction, and Israel to reviling. NIV 28 So I will disgrace the dignitaries of your temple, and I will consign Jacob to destruction and Israel to scorn.
