1 ¡Presten atención!El Señor, el SEÑORTodopoderoso,retira de Jerusalén y de Judátodo apoyo y sustento:toda provisión de pan,toda provisión de agua.

See now, the Lord, the LORD Almighty, is about to take from Jerusalem and Judah both supply and support: all supplies of food and all supplies of water,
2 Él retira al valiente y al guerrero,al juez y al profeta,al adivino y al anciano,

the hero and the warrior, the judge and the prophet, the diviner and the elder,
3 al capitán y al dignatario,al consejero, al artesano expertoy al hábil encantador.

the captain of fifty and the man of rank, the counselor, skilled craftsman and clever enchanter.
4 Les pondré como jefes a muchachos,y los gobernarán niños caprichosos.

“I will make mere youths their officials; children will rule over them.”
5 Unos a otros se maltratarán:hombre contra hombre,vecino contra vecino,joven contra anciano,plebeyo contra noble.

People will oppress each other— man against man, neighbor against neighbor. The young will rise up against the old, the nobody against the honored.
6 Entonces un hombre agarrará a su hermanoen la casa de su padre, y le dirá:«Sé nuestro líder, pues tienes un manto;¡hazte cargo de este montón de ruinas!»

A man will seize one of his brothers in his father’s house, and say, “You have a cloak, you be our leader; take charge of this heap of ruins!”
7 Pero entonces el otro protestará:«Yo no soy médico,y en mi casa no hay pan ni manto;¡no me hagas líder del pueblo!»

But in that day he will cry out, “I have no remedy. I have no food or clothing in my house; do not make me the leader of the people.”
8 Jerusalén se tambalea,Judá se derrumba,porque su hablar y su actuarson contrarios al SEÑOR:¡desafían su gloriosa presencia!

Jerusalem staggers, Judah is falling; their words and deeds are against the LORD, defying his glorious presence.
9 Su propio descaro los acusay, como Sodoma, se jactan de su pecado;¡ni siquiera lo disimulan!¡Ay de ellos,porque causan su propia desgracia!

The look on their faces testifies against them; they parade their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! They have brought disaster upon themselves.
10 Díganle al justo que le irá bien,pues gozará del fruto de sus acciones.

Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds.
11 ¡Ay del malvado, pues le irá mal!¡Según la obra de sus manos se le pagará!

Woe to the wicked! Disaster is upon them! They will be paid back for what their hands have done.
12 ¡Pobre pueblo mío, oprimido por niñosy gobernado por mujeres!¡Pobre pueblo mío, extraviado por tus guías,que tuercen el curso de tu senda!

Youths oppress my people, women rule over them. My people, your guides lead you astray; they turn you from the path.
13 El SEÑOR se dispone a denunciar;se levanta para enjuiciar al pueblo.

The LORD takes his place in court; he rises to judge the people.
14 El SEÑOR entra en juiciocontra los ancianos y jefes de su pueblo:«¡Ustedes han devorado la viña,y el despojo del pobre está en sus casas!

The LORD enters into judgment against the elders and leaders of his people: “It is you who have ruined my vineyard; the plunder from the poor is in your houses.
15 ¿Con qué derecho aplastan a mi puebloy pasan por encima de los pobres?»,afirma el Señor, el SEÑOR Todopoderoso.
15
What do you mean by crushing my people and grinding the faces of the poor?” declares the Lord, the LORD Almighty.
16 El SEÑOR dice:«Las hijas de Sión son tan orgullosasque caminan con el cuello estirado,con ojos seductores y pasitos cortos,haciendo sonar los adornos de sus pies.

The LORD says, “The women of Zion are haughty, walking along with outstretched necks, flirting with their eyes, strutting along with swaying hips, with ornaments jingling on their ankles.
17 Por eso el Señor cubrirá de sarnala cabeza de las hijas de Sión;el SEÑOR las dejará completamente calvas».

Therefore the Lord will bring sores on the heads of the women of Zion; the LORD will make their scalps bald.”
18 En aquel día, el Señor arrancará todo adorno: hebillas, diademas, broches,

In that day the Lord will snatch away their finery: the bangles and headbands and crescent necklaces,
19 pendientes, pulseras, velos,

the earrings and bracelets and veils,
20 pañuelos, cadenillas de los pies, cinturones, frasquitos de perfume, amuletos,

the headdresses and anklets and sashes, the perfume bottles and charms,
21 anillos, argollas para la nariz,
21
the signet rings and nose rings,
22 ropas de gala, mantos, chales, bolsos,

the fine robes and the capes and cloaks, the purses
23 espejos, telas finas, turbantes y mantillas.

and mirrors, and the linen garments and tiaras and shawls.
24 Habrá pestilencia en vez de perfume,soga en vez de cinturón,calvicie en vez de peinado elegante,ropa de luto en vez de trajes lujosos,vergüenza en vez de belleza.

Instead of fragrance there will be a stench; instead of a sash, a rope; instead of well-dressed hair, baldness; instead of fine clothing, sackcloth; instead of beauty, branding.
25 Tus hombres caerán a filo de espada,y tus valientes, en el campo de batalla.

Your men will fall by the sword, your warriors in battle.
26 Las puertas de la ciudad gemirán y se vestirán de luto;desolada, la ciudad se sentará en el suelo.

The gates of Zion will lament and mourn; destitute, she will sit on the ground.
