14 Thus hath the LORD of the hosts, the God of Israel, said: Take these evidences, this evidence of the purchase, both <em>that</em> which is sealed, and this evidence which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel that they may continue many days.

14 ‘This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Take these documents, both the sealed and unsealed copies of the deed of purchase, and put them in a clay jar so they will last a long time.
