1 Y respondió Job, y dijo

2 ¿Hasta cuándo angustiaréis mi alma, y me moleréis con palabras

3 Ya me habéis vituperado diez veces; ¿no os avergonzáis de descomediros delante de mí

4 Sea así que realmente haya <em>yo</em> errado, conmigo se quedará mi yerro

5 Mas si vosotros os engrandeciéreis contra mí, y redarguyeres mi oprobio contra mí

6 sabed ahora que Dios me ha derribado, y me ha envuelto en su red

7 He aquí yo clamaré agravio, y no seré oído; daré voces, y no <em>habrá</em> juicio

8 Cercó de vallado mi camino, y no pasaré; y sobre mis veredas puso tinieblas

9 Me quitó mi honra, y quitó la corona de mi cabeza

10 Me arrancó por todos lados, y me sequé; y ha hecho pasar mi esperanza como árbol arrancado

11 E hizo inflamar contra mí su furor, y me contó para sí entre sus enemigos

12 Vinieron sus tropas a una, y trillaron sobre mí su camino, y asentaron campamento en derredor de mi tienda

13 Hizo alejar de mí mis hermanos, y ciertamente mis conocidos se extrañaron de mí

14 Mis parientes se detuvieron, y mis conocidos se olvidaron de mí

15 Los moradores de mi casa y mis criadas me tuvieron por extraño; forastero fui <em>yo</em> en sus ojos

16 Llamé a mi siervo, y no respondió; de mi propia boca le suplicaba

17 Mi espíritu vino a ser extraño a mi mujer, <em>aunque</em> por los hijos de mis entrañas le rogaba

18 Aun los muchachos me menospreciaron; levantándome, hablaban contra mí

19 Todos mis íntimos amigos me aborrecieron; y los que yo amaba, se tornaron contra mí

20 Mi piel y mi carne se pegaron a mis huesos; y he escapado con la piel de mis dientes

21 Oh vosotros mis amigos, tened compasión de mí, tened compasión de mí; porque la mano de Dios me ha tocado

22 ¿Por qué me perseguís como Dios, y no os saciáis de mis carnes

23 ¡Quién diera ahora que mis palabras fueran escritas! ¡Quién diera que se escribieran en <em>un</em> libro

24 ¡Que con cincel de hierro y con plomo fueran en piedra esculpidas para siempre

25 Yo sé que mi Redentor vive, y al fin se levantará sobre el polvo

26 y después desde esta mi piel rota, y desde mi propia carne tengo que ver a Dios

27 Al cual yo tengo que ver por mí, y mis ojos lo han de ver, y no otro, <em>aunque</em> mis riñones se consuman dentro de mí

28 Mas debierais decir: ¿Por qué lo perseguimos? Ya que la raíz del negocio en mí se halla

29 Temed vosotros delante de la espada; porque <em>sobreviene</em> el furor de la espada a causa de las iniquidades, para que sepáis que hay un juicio

New International Version NIV

1 Then Job replied:

2 “How long will you torment me and crush me with words?

3 Ten times now you have reproached me; shamelessly you attack me.

4 If it is true that I have gone astray, my error remains my concern alone.

5 If indeed you would exalt yourselves above me and use my humiliation against me,

6 then know that God has wronged me and drawn his net around me.

7 “Though I cry, ‘Violence!’ I get no response; though I call for help, there is no justice.

8 He has blocked my way so I cannot pass; he has shrouded my paths in darkness.

9 He has stripped me of my honor and removed the crown from my head.

10 He tears me down on every side till I am gone; he uproots my hope like a tree.

11 His anger burns against me; he counts me among his enemies.

12 His troops advance in force; they build a siege ramp against me and encamp around my tent.

13 “He has alienated my family from me; my acquaintances are completely estranged from me.

14 My relatives have gone away; my closest friends have forgotten me.

15 My guests and my female servants count me a foreigner; they look on me as on a stranger.

16 I summon my servant, but he does not answer, though I beg him with my own mouth.

17 My breath is offensive to my wife; I am loathsome to my own family.

18 Even the little boys scorn me; when I appear, they ridicule me.

19 All my intimate friends detest me; those I love have turned against me.

20 I am nothing but skin and bones; I have escaped only by the skin of my teeth.

21 “Have pity on me, my friends, have pity, for the hand of God has struck me.

22 Why do you pursue me as God does? Will you never get enough of my flesh?

23 “Oh, that my words were recorded, that they were written on a scroll,

24 that they were inscribed with an iron tool on lead, or engraved in rock forever!

25 I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth.

26 And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God;

27 I myself will see him with my own eyes—I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!

28 “If you say, ‘How we will hound him, since the root of the trouble lies in him, ’

29 you should fear the sword yourselves; for wrath will bring punishment by the sword, and then you will know that there is judgment. ”
