Job 2:7-10

CEBA 7 The Adversary departed from the LORD's presence and struck Job with severe sores from the sole of his foot to the top of his head. NIV 7 So Satan went out from the presence of the LORD and afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the top of his head. CEBA 8 Job took a piece of broken pottery to scratch himself and sat down on a mound of ashes. NIV 8 Then Job took a piece of broken pottery and scraped himself with it as he sat among the ashes. CEBA 9 Job's wife said to him, "Are you still clinging to your integrity? Curse God, and die." NIV 9 His wife said to him, "Are you still holding on to your integrity? Curse God and die!" CEBA 10 Job said to her, "You're talking like a foolish woman. Will we receive good from God but not also receive bad?" In all this, Job didn't sin with his lips. NIV 10 He replied, "You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?" In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.
