John 1:1-18

NIRV 1 In the beginning, the Word was already there. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. NIV 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. NIV 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God. NIRV 14 The Word became a human being. He made his home with us. We have seen his glory. It is the glory of the one and only Son. He came from the Father. And he was full of grace and truth. NIV 14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. NIRV 15 John gives witness about him. He cries out and says, "This was the one I was talking about. I said, 'He who comes after me is more important than I am. He is more important because he existed before I was born.' " NIV 15 John testifies concerning him. He cries out, saying, "This was he of whom I said, 'He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.' " NIRV 16 We have all received one blessing after another. God's grace is not limited. NIV 16 From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another. NIRV 17 Moses gave us the law. Jesus Christ has given us grace and truth. NIV 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. NIRV 18 No one has ever seen God. But God, the one and only Son, is at the Father's side. He has shown us what God is like. NIV 18 No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made him known.
