John 3:11-21

ESV 11 Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony. NIV 11 I tell you the truth, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony. ESV 12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things? NIV 12 I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things? ESV 13 No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man. NIV 13 No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven--the Son of Man. ESV 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, NIV 14 Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, ESV 15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life. NIV 15 that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. ESV 16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. NIV 16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. ESV 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. NIV 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. ESV 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. NIV 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son. ESV 19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. NIV 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. ESV 20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. NIV 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. ESV 21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God." NIV 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
