Leviticus 15

RHE 1 And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying: NIV 1 The LORD said to Moses and Aaron, RHE 2 Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: The man that hath an issue of seed, shall be unclean. NIV 2 "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'When any man has a bodily discharge, the discharge is unclean. RHE 3 And then shall he be judged subject to this evil, when a filthy humour, at every moment, cleaveth to his flesh, and gathereth there. NIV 3 Whether it continues flowing from his body or is blocked, it will make him unclean. This is how his discharge will bring about uncleanness: RHE 4 Every bed on which he sleepeth, shall be unclean, and every place on which he sitteth. NIV 4 " 'Any bed the man with a discharge lies on will be unclean, and anything he sits on will be unclean. RHE 5 If any man touch his bed, he shall wash his clothes and being washed with water, he shall be unclean until the evening. NIV 5 Anyone who touches his bed must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. RHE 6 If a man sit where that man hath sitten, he also shall wash his clothes: and being washed with water, shall be unclean until the evening. NIV 6 Whoever sits on anything that the man with a discharge sat on must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. RHE 7 He that toucheth his flesh, shall wash his clothes: and being himself washed with water shall be unclean until the evening. NIV 7 " 'Whoever touches the man who has a discharge must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. RHE 8 If such a man cast his spittle upon him that is clean, he shall wash his clothes: and being washed with water, he shall be unclean until the evening. NIV 8 " 'If the man with the discharge spits on someone who is clean, that person must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. RHE 9 The saddle on which he hath sitten shall be unclean. NIV 9 " 'Everything the man sits on when riding will be unclean, RHE 10 And whatsoever has been under him that hath the issue of seed, shall be unclean until the evening. He that carrieth any of these things, shall wash his clothes: and being washed with water, he shall be unclean until the evening. NIV 10 and whoever touches any of the things that were under him will be unclean till evening; whoever picks up those things must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. RHE 11 Every person whom such a one shall touch, not having washed his hands before, shall wash his clothes: and being washed with water, shall be unclean until the evening. NIV 11 " 'Anyone the man with a discharge touches without rinsing his hands with water must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. RHE 12 If he touch a vessel of earth, it shall be broken: but if a vessel of wood, it shall be washed with water. NIV 12 " 'A clay pot that the man touches must be broken, and any wooden article is to be rinsed with water. RHE 13 If he who suffereth this disease be healed, he shall number seven days after his cleansing: and having washed his clothes, and all his body in living water, he shall be clean. NIV 13 " 'When a man is cleansed from his discharge, he is to count off seven days for his ceremonial cleansing; he must wash his clothes and bathe himself with fresh water, and he will be clean. RHE 14 And on the eighth day he shall take two turtles, or two young pigeons, and he shall come before the Lord, to the door of the tabernacle of the testimony, and shall give them to the priest. NIV 14 On the eighth day he must take two doves or two young pigeons and come before the LORD to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and give them to the priest. RHE 15 Who shall offer one for sin, and the other for a holocaust: and he shall pray for him before the Lord, that he may be cleansed of the issue of his seed. NIV 15 The priest is to sacrifice them, the one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering. In this way he will make atonement before the LORD for the man because of his discharge. RHE 16 The man from whom the seed of copulation goeth out, shall wash all his body with water: and he shall be unclean until the evening. NIV 16 " 'When a man has an emission of semen, he must bathe his whole body with water, and he will be unclean till evening. RHE 17 The garment or skin that he weareth, he shall wash with water: and it shall be unclean until the evening. NIV 17 Any clothing or leather that has semen on it must be washed with water, and it will be unclean till evening. RHE 18 The woman, with whom he copulateth, shall be washed with water: and shall be unclean until the evening. NIV 18 When a man lies with a woman and there is an emission of semen, both must bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening. RHE 19 The woman, who at the return of the month, hath her issue of blood, shall be separated seven days. NIV 19 " 'When a woman has her regular flow of blood, the impurity of her monthly period will last seven days, and anyone who touches her will be unclean till evening. RHE 20 Every one that toucheth her, shall be unclean until the evening. NIV 20 " 'Anything she lies on during her period will be unclean, and anything she sits on will be unclean. RHE 21 And every thing that she sleepeth on, or that she sitteth on in the days of her separation, shall be defiled. NIV 21 Whoever touches her bed must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. RHE 22 He that toucheth her bed shall wash his clothes: and being himself washed with water, shall be unclean until the evening. NIV 22 Whoever touches anything she sits on must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. RHE 23 Whosoever shall touch any vessel on which she sitteth, shall wash his clothes: and himself being washed with water, shall be defiled until the evening. NIV 23 Whether it is the bed or anything she was sitting on, when anyone touches it, he will be unclean till evening. RHE 24 If a man copulateth with her in the time of her flowers, he shall be unclean seven days: and every bed on which he shall sleep, shall be defiled. NIV 24 " 'If a man lies with her and her monthly flow touches him, he will be unclean for seven days; any bed he lies on will be unclean. RHE 25 The woman that hath still issue of blood many days out of her ordinary time, or that ceaseth not to flow after the monthly courses, as long as she is subject to this disease, shall be unclean, in the same manner as if she were in her flowers. NIV 25 " 'When a woman has a discharge of blood for many days at a time other than her monthly period or has a discharge that continues beyond her period, she will be unclean as long as she has the discharge, just as in the days of her period. RHE 26 Every bed on which she sleepeth, and every vessel on which she sitteth, shall be defiled. NIV 26 Any bed she lies on while her discharge continues will be unclean, as is her bed during her monthly period, and anything she sits on will be unclean, as during her period. RHE 27 Whosoever toucheth them shall wash his clothes: and himself being washed with water, shall be unclean until the evening. NIV 27 Whoever touches them will be unclean; he must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be unclean till evening. RHE 28 If the blood stop and cease to run, she shall count seven days of her purification: NIV 28 " 'When she is cleansed from her discharge, she must count off seven days, and after that she will be ceremonially clean. RHE 29 And on the eighth day she shall offer for herself to the priest, two turtles, or two young pigeons, at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony: NIV 29 On the eighth day she must take two doves or two young pigeons and bring them to the priest at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. RHE 30 And he shall offer one for sin, and the other for a holocaust, and he shall pray for her before the Lord, and for the issue of her uncleanness. NIV 30 The priest is to sacrifice one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering. In this way he will make atonement for her before the LORD for the uncleanness of her discharge. RHE 31 You shall teach therefore the children of Israel to take heed of uncleanness, that they may not die in their filth, when they shall have defiled my tabernacle that is among them. NIV 31 " 'You must keep the Israelites separate from things that make them unclean, so they will not die in their uncleanness for defiling my dwelling place, which is among them.' " RHE 32 This is the law of him that hath the issue of seed, and that is defiled by copulation. NIV 32 These are the regulations for a man with a discharge, for anyone made unclean by an emission of semen, RHE 33 And of the woman that is separated in her monthly times, or that hath a continual issue of blood, and of the man that sleepeth with her. NIV 33 for a woman in her monthly period, for a man or a woman with a discharge, and for a man who lies with a woman who is ceremonially unclean.
