RSV 1 After this the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them on ahead of him, two by two, into every town and place where he himself was about to come. NIV 1 After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. RSV 2 And he said to them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest. NIV 2 He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. RSV 3 Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs in the midst of wolves. NIV 3 Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. RSV 6 And if a son of peace is there, your peace shall rest upon him; but if not, it shall return to you. NIV 6 If a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; if not, it will return to you.
