Luke 10:8-18

NLT 8 “If you enter a town and it welcomes you, eat whatever is set before you. NIV 8 "When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is set before you. NLT 9 Heal the sick, and tell them, ‘The Kingdom of God is near you now.’ NIV 9 Heal the sick who are there and tell them, 'The kingdom of God is near you.' NLT 10 But if a town refuses to welcome you, go out into its streets and say, NIV 10 But when you enter a town and are not welcomed, go into its streets and say, NLT 11 ‘We wipe even the dust of your town from our feet to show that we have abandoned you to your fate. And know this—the Kingdom of God is near!’ NIV 11 'Even the dust of your town that sticks to our feet we wipe off against you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God is near.' NLT 12 I assure you, even wicked Sodom will be better off than such a town on judgment day. NIV 12 I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town. NLT 13 “What sorrow awaits you, Korazin and Bethsaida! For if the miracles I did in you had been done in wicked Tyre and Sidon, their people would have repented of their sins long ago, clothing themselves in burlap and throwing ashes on their heads to show their remorse. NIV 13 "Woe to you, Korazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes. NLT 14 Yes, Tyre and Sidon will be better off on judgment day than you. NIV 14 But it will be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you. NLT 15 And you people of Capernaum, will you be honored in heaven? No, you will go down to the place of the dead.10:15 Greek to Hades.” NIV 15 And you, Capernaum, will you be lifted up to the skies? No, you will go down to the depths. NLT 16 Then he said to the disciples, “Anyone who accepts your message is also accepting me. And anyone who rejects you is rejecting me. And anyone who rejects me is rejecting God, who sent me.” NIV 16 "He who listens to you listens to me; he who rejects you rejects me; but he who rejects me rejects him who sent me." NLT 17 When the seventy-two disciples returned, they joyfully reported to him, “Lord, even the demons obey us when we use your name!” NIV 17 The seventy-two returned with joy and said, "Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name." NLT 18 “Yes,” he told them, “I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning! NIV 18 He replied, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.
