Luke 13:10-17

CEB 10 Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. NIV 10 On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, CEB 11 A woman was there who had been disabled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and couldn't stand up straight. NIV 11 and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. CEB 12 When he saw her, Jesus called her to him and said, "Woman, you are set free from your sickness." NIV 12 When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, "Woman, you are set free from your infirmity." CEB 13 He placed his hands on her and she straightened up at once and praised God. NIV 13 Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God. CEB 14 The synagogue leader, incensed that Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, responded, "There are six days during which work is permitted. Come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath day." NIV 14 Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue ruler said to the people, "There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath." CEB 15 The Lord replied, "Hypocrites! Don't each of you on the Sabbath untie your ox or donkey from its stall and lead it out to get a drink? NIV 15 The Lord answered him, "You hypocrites! Doesn't each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water? CEB 16 Then isn't it necessary that this woman, a daughter of Abraham, bound by Satan for eighteen long years, be set free from her bondage on the Sabbath day?" NIV 16 Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?" CEB 17 When he said these things, all his opponents were put to shame, but all those in the crowd rejoiced at all the extraordinary things he was doing. NIV 17 When he said this, all his opponents were humiliated, but the people were delighted with all the wonderful things he was doing.
