TMB 1 Then said He unto His disciples, "It is impossible but that offenses will come, but woe unto him through whom they come! NIV 1 Jesus said to his disciples: "Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come. TMB 2 It were better for him that a millstone were hung about his neck and he cast into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones to fall. NIV 2 It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around his neck than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin. TMB 3 "Take heed to yourselves. If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. NIV 3 So watch yourselves. "If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. TMB 4 And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, `I repent,' thou shalt forgive him." NIV 4 If he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and says, 'I repent,' forgive him." TMB 5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, "Increase our faith." NIV 5 The apostles said to the LORD, "Increase our faith!" TMB 6 And the Lord said, "If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, `Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea,' and it should obey you. NIV 6 He replied, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it will obey you. TMB 7 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by when he is come from the field, `Go and sit down to meat'? NIV 7 "Suppose one of you had a servant plowing or looking after the sheep. Would he say to the servant when he comes in from the field, 'Come along now and sit down to eat'? TMB 8 But will you not rather say unto him, `Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself and serve me until I have eaten and drunk, and afterward thou shalt eat and drink'? NIV 8 Would he not rather say, 'Prepare my supper, get yourself ready and wait on me while I eat and drink; after that you may eat and drink'? TMB 9 Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I think not! NIV 9 Would he thank the servant because he did what he was told to do? TMB 10 So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, `We are unprofitable servants. We have done that which was our duty to do.'" NIV 10 So you also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should say, 'We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.' " TMB 11 And it came to pass as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. NIV 11 Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. TMB 12 And as He entered into a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. NIV 12 As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance TMB 13 And they lifted up their voices and said, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!" NIV 13 and called out in a loud voice, "Jesus, Master, have pity on us!" TMB 14 And when He saw them, He said unto them, "Go, show yourselves unto the priests." And it came to pass that as they went, they were cleansed. NIV 14 When he saw them, he said, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And as they went, they were cleansed. TMB 15 And one of them when he saw that he was healed, turned back and with a loud voice glorified God, NIV 15 One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. TMB 16 and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks; and he was a Samaritan. NIV 16 He threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him--and he was a Samaritan. TMB 17 And Jesus answering said, "Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? NIV 17 Jesus asked, "Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? TMB 18 There are none found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger." NIV 18 Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?" TMB 19 And He said unto him, "Arise; go thy way. Thy faith hath made thee whole." NIV 19 Then he said to him, "Rise and go; your faith has made you well." TMB 20 And when the Pharisees had demanded of Him when the Kingdom of God should come, He answered them and said, "The Kingdom of God cometh not with outward show. NIV 20 Once, having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, "The kingdom of God does not come with your careful observation, TMB 21 Neither shall they say, `Lo, it is here!' or `Lo, it is there!' For behold, the Kingdom of God is within you." NIV 21 nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is,' because the kingdom of God is within you." TMB 22 And He said unto the disciples, "The days will come when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and ye shall not see it. NIV 22 Then he said to his disciples, "The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it. TMB 23 And they shall say to you, `See, here!' or `See, there!' Go not after them, nor follow them. NIV 23 Men will tell you, 'There he is!' or 'Here he is!' Do not go running off after them. TMB 24 For as the lightning that lighteneth one part under heaven shineth unto the other part under heaven, so shall also the Son of Man be in His day. NIV 24 For the Son of Man in his day will be like the lightning, which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other. TMB 25 But first must He suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. NIV 25 But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. TMB 26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of Man: NIV 26 "Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. TMB 27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. NIV 27 People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. TMB 28 "Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; NIV 28 "It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. TMB 29 but the same day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. NIV 29 But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. TMB 30 "Even thus shall it be in the Day when the Son of Man is revealed. NIV 30 "It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed. TMB 31 In that Day, he that shall be upon the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. NIV 31 On that day no one who is on the roof of his house, with his goods inside, should go down to get them. Likewise, no one in the field should go back for anything. TMB 32 Remember Lot's wife. NIV 32 Remember Lot's wife! TMB 33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it, and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it. NIV 33 Whoever tries to keep his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it. TMB 34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. TMB 37 And they answered and said unto Him, "Where, Lord?" And He said unto them, "Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together." NIV 37 "Where, LORD?" they asked. He replied, "Where there is a dead body, there the vultures will gather."
