Luke 23:1-6

CSB 1 Then their whole assembly rose up and brought Him before Pilate. NIV 1 Then the whole assembly rose and led him off to Pilate. CSB 2 They began to accuse Him, saying, "We found this man subverting our nation, opposing payment of taxes to Caesar, and saying that He Himself is the Messiah, a King." NIV 2 And they began to accuse him, saying, "We have found this man subverting our nation. He opposes payment of taxes to Caesar and claims to be Christ, a king." CSB 3 So Pilate asked Him, "Are You the King of the Jews?" He answered him, "You have said it." NIV 3 So Pilate asked Jesus, "Are you the king of the Jews?" "Yes, it is as you say," Jesus replied. CSB 4 Pilate then told the chief priests and the crowds, "I find no grounds for charging this man." NIV 4 Then Pilate announced to the chief priests and the crowd, "I find no basis for a charge against this man." CSB 5 But they kept insisting, "He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, from Galilee where He started even to here." NIV 5 But they insisted, "He stirs up the people all over Judea by his teaching. He started in Galilee and has come all the way here." CSB 6 When Pilate heard this, he asked if the man was a Galilean. NIV 6 On hearing this, Pilate asked if the man was a Galilean.
