CSB 23 Then He said to [them] all, "If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me. NIV 23 Then he said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. CSB 24 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of Me will save it. NIV 24 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it. CSB 25 What is a man benefited if he gains the whole world, yet loses or forfeits himself? NIV 25 What good is it for a man to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit his very self ? CSB 32 Peter and those with him were in a deep sleep, and when they became fully awake, they saw His glory and the two men who were standing with Him. NIV 32 Peter and his companions were very sleepy, but when they became fully awake, they saw his glory and the two men standing with him. CSB 33 As the two men were departing from Him, Peter said to Jesus, "Master, it's good for us to be here! Let us make three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah"-not knowing what he said. NIV 33 As the men were leaving Jesus, Peter said to him, "Master, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters--one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah." (He did not know what he was saying.)
