Mark 10:11-21

KJV 11 And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. NIV 11 He answered, "Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her. KJV 12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery . NIV 12 And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery." KJV 13 And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. NIV 13 People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. KJV 14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased , and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. NIV 14 When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. KJV 15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein . NIV 15 I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." KJV 16 And he took them up in his arms , put his hands upon them, and blessed them. NIV 16 And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them. KJV 17 And when he was gone forth into the way , there came one running , and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? NIV 17 As Jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him. "Good teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?" KJV 18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God. NIV 18 "Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good--except God alone. KJV 19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery , Do not kill , Do not steal , Do not bear false witness , Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother. NIV 19 You know the commandments: 'Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, do not defraud, honor your father and mother.' " KJV 20 And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. NIV 20 "Teacher," he declared, "all these I have kept since I was a boy." KJV 21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest : go thy way , sell whatsoever thou hast , and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come , take up the cross, and follow me. NIV 21 Jesus looked at him and loved him. "One thing you lack," he said. "Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."
