NRS 29 Those who passed by derided him, shaking their heads and saying, "Aha! You who would destroy the temple and build it in three days, NIV 29 Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads and saying, "So! NRS 36 And someone ran, filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on a stick, and gave it to him to drink, saying, "Wait, let us see whether Elijah will come to take him down." NIV 36 One man ran, filled a sponge with wine vinegar, put it on a stick, and offered it to Jesus to drink. "Now leave him alone. Let's see if Elijah comes to take him down," he said. NRS 37 Then Jesus gave a loud cry and breathed his last. NIV 37 With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last. NRS 38 And the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. NRS 39 Now when the centurion, who stood facing him, saw that in this way he breathed his last, he said, "Truly this man was God's Son!" NIV 39 And when the centurion, who stood there in front of Jesus, heard his cry and saw how he died, he said, "Surely this man was the Son of God!"
