CEB 14 After John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee announcing God's good news, NRS 14 Now after John was arrested, Jesus came to Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God, CEB 15 saying, "Now is the time! Here comes God's kingdom! Change your hearts and lives, and trust this good news!" NRS 15 and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near; repent, and believe in the good news." CEB 16 As Jesus passed alongside the Galilee Sea, he saw two brothers, Simon and Andrew, throwing fishing nets into the sea, for they were fishermen. NRS 16 As Jesus passed along the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the sea—for they were fishermen. CEB 17 "Come, follow me," he said, "and I'll show you how to fish for people." NRS 17 And Jesus said to them, "Follow me and I will make you fish for people." CEB 18 Right away, they left their nets and followed him. NRS 18 And immediately they left their nets and followed him. CEB 19 After going a little farther, he saw James and John, Zebedee's sons, in their boat repairing the fishing nets. NRS 19 As he went a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John, who were in their boat mending the nets. CEB 20 At that very moment he called them. They followed him, leaving their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired workers. NRS 20 Immediately he called them; and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men, and followed him.
