Mark 5:14-27

NLT 14 The herdsmen fled to the nearby town and the surrounding countryside, spreading the news as they ran. People rushed out to see what had happened. NIV 14 Those tending the pigs ran off and reported this in the town and countryside, and the people went out to see what had happened. NLT 15 A crowd soon gathered around Jesus, and they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons. He was sitting there fully clothed and perfectly sane, and they were all afraid. NIV 15 When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid. NLT 16 Then those who had seen what happened told the others about the demon-possessed man and the pigs. NIV 16 Those who had seen it told the people what had happened to the demon-possessed man--and told about the pigs as well. NLT 17 And the crowd began pleading with Jesus to go away and leave them alone. NIV 17 Then the people began to plead with Jesus to leave their region. NLT 18 As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon possessed begged to go with him. NIV 18 As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him. NLT 19 But Jesus said, “No, go home to your family, and tell them everything the Lord has done for you and how merciful he has been.” NIV 19 Jesus did not let him, but said, "Go home to your family and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you." NLT 20 So the man started off to visit the Ten Towns of that region and began to proclaim the great things Jesus had done for him; and everyone was amazed at what he told them. NIV 20 So the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed. NLT 21 Jesus got into the boat again and went back to the other side of the lake, where a large crowd gathered around him on the shore. NIV 21 When Jesus had again crossed over by boat to the other side of the lake, a large crowd gathered around him while he was by the lake. NLT 22 Then a leader of the local synagogue, whose name was Jairus, arrived. When he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet, NIV 22 Then one of the synagogue rulers, named Jairus, came there. Seeing Jesus, he fell at his feet NLT 23 pleading fervently with him. “My little daughter is dying,” he said. “Please come and lay your hands on her; heal her so she can live.” NIV 23 and pleaded earnestly with him, "My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and live." NLT 24 Jesus went with him, and all the people followed, crowding around him. NIV 24 So Jesus went with him. A large crowd followed and pressed around him. NLT 25 A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding. NIV 25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. NLT 26 She had suffered a great deal from many doctors, and over the years she had spent everything she had to pay them, but she had gotten no better. In fact, she had gotten worse. NIV 26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. NLT 27 She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd and touched his robe. NIV 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak,
