Matthew 12:22-32

ESV 22 Then a demon-oppressed man who was blind and mute was brought to him, and he healed him, so that the man spoke and saw. NIV 22 Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see. ESV 23 And all the people were amazed, and said, "Can this be the Son of David?" NIV 23 All the people were astonished and said, "Could this be the Son of David?" ESV 24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, "It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this man casts out demons." NIV 24 But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, "It is only by Beelzebub, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons." ESV 25 Knowing their thoughts, he said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand. NIV 25 Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. ESV 26 And if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand? NIV 26 If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand? ESV 27 And if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges. NIV 27 And if I drive out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. ESV 28 But if it is by the Spirit of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. NIV 28 But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. ESV 29 Or how can someone enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? Then indeed he may plunder his house. NIV 29 "Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man's house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can rob his house. ESV 30 Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters. NIV 30 "He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters. ESV 31 Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. NIV 31 And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. ESV 32 And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come. NIV 32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
