Matthew 20:29-34

ESV 29 And as they went out of Jericho, a great crowd followed him. MSG 29 As they were leaving Jericho, a huge crowd followed. ESV 30 And behold, there were two blind men sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was passing by, they cried out, "Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!" MSG 30 Suddenly they came upon two blind men sitting alongside the road. When they heard it was Jesus passing, they cried out, "Master, have mercy on us! Mercy, Son of David!" ESV 31 The crowd rebuked them, telling them to be silent, but they cried out all the more, "Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!" MSG 31 The crowd tried to hush them up, but they got all the louder, crying, "Master, have mercy on us! Mercy, Son of David!" ESV 32 And stopping, Jesus called them and said, "What do you want me to do for you?" MSG 32 Jesus stopped and called over, "What do you want from me?" ESV 33 They said to him, "Lord, let our eyes be opened." MSG 33 They said, "Master, we want our eyes opened. We want to see!" ESV 34 And Jesus in pity touched their eyes, and immediately they recovered their sight and followed him. MSG 34 Deeply moved, Jesus touched their eyes. They had their sight back that very instant, and joined the procession.
