Matthew 20:29-34

NLT 29 As Jesus and the disciples left the city of Jericho, a huge crowd followed behind. NIV 29 As Jesus and his disciples were leaving Jericho, a large crowd followed him. NLT 30 Two blind men were sitting beside the road. When they heard that Jesus was coming that way, they began shouting, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!" NIV 30 Two blind men were sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was going by, they shouted, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!" NLT 31 The crowd told them to be quiet, but they only shouted louder, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!" NIV 31 The crowd rebuked them and told them to be quiet, but they shouted all the louder, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!" NLT 32 Jesus stopped in the road and called, "What do you want me to do for you?" NIV 32 Jesus stopped and called them. "What do you want me to do for you?" he asked. NLT 33 "Lord," they said, "we want to see!" NIV 33 "Lord," they answered, "we want our sight." NLT 34 Jesus felt sorry for them and touched their eyes. Instantly they could see! Then they followed him. NIV 34 Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him.
