CEB 12 Now when Jesus heard that John was arrested, he went to Galilee. NRS 12 Now when Jesus heard that John had been arrested, he withdrew to Galilee. CEB 18 As Jesus walked alongside the Galilee Sea, he saw two brothers, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew, throwing fishing nets into the sea, because they were fishermen. NRS 18 As he walked by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea—for they were fishermen. CEB 19 "Come, follow me," he said, "and I'll show you how to fish for people." NRS 19 And he said to them, "Follow me, and I will make you fish for people." CEB 20 Right away, they left their nets and followed him. NRS 20 Immediately they left their nets and followed him. CEB 21 Continuing on, he saw another set of brothers, James the son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with Zebedee their father repairing their nets. Jesus called them and NRS 21 As he went from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John, in the boat with their father Zebedee, mending their nets, and he called them. CEB 22 immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him. NRS 22 Immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed him. CEB 23 Jesus traveled throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues. He announced the good news of the kingdom and healed every disease and sickness among the people. NRS 23 Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and curing every disease and every sickness among the people.
