9 Car ils montèrent jusqu'au torrent d'Eshcol, et virent le pays; et ils détournèrent le cœur des enfants d'Israël, pour ne point entrer au pays que l'Éternel leur avait donné.

After they went up to the Valley of Eshkol and viewed the land, they discouraged the Israelites from entering the land the LORD had given them.
