CJB 5 and one quart of wine for the drink offering. This is what you are to prepare with the burnt offering or for each lamb sacrificed. NIV 5 With each lamb for the burnt offering or the sacrifice, prepare a quarter of a hin of wine as a drink offering. CJB 6 "'For a ram, prepare one gallon of fine flour mixed with one-and-one-third quarts of olive oil; NIV 6 " 'With a ram prepare a grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a third of a hin of oil, CJB 7 while for the drink offering, you are to present one-and-one-third quarts of wine as a fragrant aroma for ADONAI. NIV 7 and a third of a hin of wine as a drink offering. Offer it as an aroma pleasing to the LORD. CJB 8 "'When you prepare a bull as a burnt offering, as a sacrifice to fulfill a special vow or as peace offerings for ADONAI, NIV 8 " 'When you prepare a young bull as a burnt offering or sacrifice, for a special vow or a fellowship offering to the LORD, CJB 9 there is to be presented with the bull a grain offering of one-and-a-half gallons of fine flour mixed with two quarts of olive oil. NIV 9 bring with the bull a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with half a hin of oil. CJB 10 For the drink offering, present two quarts of wine for an offering made by fire, a fragant aroma for ADONAI. NIV 10 Also bring half a hin of wine as a drink offering. It will be an offering made by fire, an aroma pleasing to the LORD. CJB 11 "'Do it this way for each bull, ram, male lamb or kid. NIV 11 Each bull or ram, each lamb or young goat, is to be prepared in this manner. CJB 12 For as many animals as you prepare, do this for each one, regardless of how many animals there are. NIV 12 Do this for each one, for as many as you prepare. CJB 13 "'Every citizen is to do these things in this way when presenting an offering made by fire as a fragrant aroma for ADONAI. NIV 13 " 'Everyone who is native-born must do these things in this way when he brings an offering made by fire as an aroma pleasing to the LORD. CJB 14 If a foreigner stays with you - or whoever may be with you, through all your generations - and he wants to bring an offering made by fire as a fragrant aroma for ADONAI, he is to do the same as you. NIV 14 For the generations to come, whenever an alien or anyone else living among you presents an offering made by fire as an aroma pleasing to the LORD, he must do exactly as you do. CJB 15 For this community there will be the same law for you as for the foreigner living with you; this is a permanent regulation through all your generations; the foreigner is to be treated the same way before ADONAI as yourselves. NIV 15 The community is to have the same rules for you and for the alien living among you; this is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come. You and the alien shall be the same before the LORD: CJB 16 The same Torah and standard of judgment will apply to both you and the foreigner living with you.'" NIV 16 The same laws and regulations will apply both to you and to the alien living among you.' " CJB 17 ADONAI said to Moshe, NIV 17 The LORD said to Moses, CJB 18 "Speak to the people of Isra'el; tell them, 'When you enter the land where I am bringing you NIV 18 "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'When you enter the land to which I am taking you CJB 19 and eat bread produced in the land, you are to set aside a portion as a gift for ADONAI. NIV 19 and you eat the food of the land, present a portion as an offering to the LORD. CJB 20 Set aside from your first dough a cake as a gift; set it aside as you would set aside a portion of the grain from the threshing-floor. NIV 20 Present a cake from the first of your ground meal and present it as an offering from the threshing floor. CJB 21 From your first dough you will give ADONAI a portion as a gift through all your generations. NIV 21 Throughout the generations to come you are to give this offering to the LORD from the first of your ground meal. CJB 22 "'If by mistake you fail to observe all these mitzvot that ADONAI has spoken to Moshe, NIV 22 " 'Now if you unintentionally fail to keep any of these commands the LORD gave Moses-- CJB 23 yes, everything that ADONAI has ordered you to do through Moshe, from the day ADONAI gave the order and onward through all your generations, NIV 23 any of the LORD's commands to you through him, from the day the LORD gave them and continuing through the generations to come-- CJB 24 then, if it was done by mistake by the community and was not known to them, the whole community is to offer one young bull for a burnt offering as a fragrant aroma to ADONAI, with its grain and drink offerings, in keeping with the rule, and one male goat as a sin offering. NIV 24 and if this is done unintentionally without the community being aware of it, then the whole community is to offer a young bull for a burnt offering as an aroma pleasing to the LORD, along with its prescribed grain offering and drink offering, and a male goat for a sin offering. CJB 25 The cohen is to make atonement for the whole community of the people of Isra'el; and they will be forgiven; because it was a mistake; and they have brought their offering, an offering made by fire, to ADONAI, and their sin offering before ADONAI for their mistake. NIV 25 The priest is to make atonement for the whole Israelite community, and they will be forgiven, for it was not intentional and they have brought to the LORD for their wrong an offering made by fire and a sin offering. CJB 26 The whole community of the people of Isra'el will be forgiven, likewise the foreigner staying with them; because for all the people it was a mistake. NIV 26 The whole Israelite community and the aliens living among them will be forgiven, because all the people were involved in the unintentional wrong. CJB 27 "'If an individual sins by mistake, he is to offer a female goat in its first year as a sin offering. NIV 27 " 'But if just one person sins unintentionally, he must bring a year-old female goat for a sin offering. CJB 28 The cohen will make atonement before ADONAI for the person who makes a mistake by sinning inadvertently; he will make atonement for him, and he will be forgiven - NIV 28 The priest is to make atonement before the LORD for the one who erred by sinning unintentionally, and when atonement has been made for him, he will be forgiven. CJB 29 no matter whether he is a citizen of Isra'el or a foreigner living with them. You are to have one law for whoever it is that does something wrong by mistake. NIV 29 One and the same law applies to everyone who sins unintentionally, whether he is a native-born Israelite or an alien. CJB 30 "'But an individual who does something wrong intentionally, whether a citizen or a foreigner, is blaspheming ADONAI. That person will be cut off from his people. NIV 30 " 'But anyone who sins defiantly, whether native-born or alien, blasphemes the LORD, and that person must be cut off from his people. CJB 31 Because he has had contempt for the word of ADONAI and has disobeyed his command, that person will be cut off completely; his offense will remain with him.'" NIV 31 Because he has despised the LORD's word and broken his commands, that person must surely be cut off; his guilt remains on him.' " CJB 32 While the people of Isra'el were in the desert, they found a man gathering wood on Shabbat. NIV 32 While the Israelites were in the desert, a man was found gathering wood on the Sabbath day. CJB 33 Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moshe, Aharon and the whole congregation. NIV 33 Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly, CJB 34 They kept him in custody, because it had not yet been decided what to do to him. NIV 34 and they kept him in custody, because it was not clear what should be done to him. CJB 35 Then ADONAI said to Moshe, "This man must be put to death; the entire community is to stone him to death outside the camp." NIV 35 Then the LORD said to Moses, "The man must die. The whole assembly must stone him outside the camp." CJB 36 So the whole community brought him outside the camp and threw stones at him until he died, as ADONAI had ordered Moshe. NIV 36 So the assembly took him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD commanded Moses. CJB 37 ADONAI said to Moshe, NIV 37 The LORD said to Moses, CJB 38 "Speak to the people of Isra'el, instructing them to make, through all their generations, tzitziyot on the corners of their garments, and to put with the tzitzit on each corner a blue thread. NIV 38 "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'Throughout the generations to come you are to make tassels on the corners of your garments, with a blue cord on each tassel. CJB 39 It is to be a tzitzit for you to look at and thereby remember all of ADONAI's mitzvot and obey them, so that you won't go around wherever your own heart and eyes lead you to prostitute yourselves; NIV 39 You will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of the LORD, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by going after the lusts of your own hearts and eyes. CJB 40 but it will help you remember and obey all my mitzvot and be holy for your God. NIV 40 Then you will remember to obey all my commands and will be consecrated to your God. CJB 41 I am ADONAI your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt in order to be your God. I am ADONAI your God." NIV 41 I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt to be your God. I am the LORD your God.' "
