Numbers 33

WBT 1 These [are] the journeys of the children of Israel, who went forth from the land of Egypt with their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron. NIV 1 Here are the stages in the journey of the Israelites when they came out of Egypt by divisions under the leadership of Moses and Aaron. WBT 2 And Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of the LORD: and these [are] their journeys according to their goings out. NIV 2 At the LORD's command Moses recorded the stages in their journey. This is their journey by stages: WBT 3 And they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with a high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians. NIV 3 The Israelites set out from Rameses on the fifteenth day of the first month, the day after the Passover. They marched out boldly in full view of all the Egyptians, WBT 4 For the Egyptians buried all [their] first-born, whom the LORD had smitten among them: upon their gods also the LORD executed judgments. NIV 4 who were burying all their firstborn, whom the LORD had struck down among them; for the LORD had brought judgment on their gods. WBT 5 And the children of Israel removed from Rameses, and encamped in Succoth. NIV 5 The Israelites left Rameses and camped at Succoth. WBT 6 And they departed from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, which [is] in the edge of the wilderness. NIV 6 They left Succoth and camped at Etham, on the edge of the desert. WBT 7 And they removed from Etham, and turned again to Pi-hahiroth, which [is] before Baal-zephon: and they encamped before Migdol. NIV 7 They left Etham, turned back to Pi Hahiroth, to the east of Baal Zephon, and camped near Migdol. WBT 8 And they departed from before Pi-hahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness, and went three days' journey in the wilderness of Etham, and encamped in Marah. NIV 8 They left Pi Hahiroth and passed through the sea into the desert, and when they had traveled for three days in the Desert of Etham, they camped at Marah. WBT 9 And they removed from Marah, and came to Elim: and in Elim [were] twelve fountains of water, and seventy palm-trees; and they encamped there. NIV 9 They left Marah and went to Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees, and they camped there. WBT 10 And they removed from Elim, and encamped by the Red sea. NIV 10 They left Elim and camped by the Red Sea. WBT 11 And they removed from the Red sea, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin. NIV 11 They left the Red Sea and camped in the Desert of Sin. WBT 12 And they took their journey out of the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dophkah. NIV 12 They left the Desert of Sin and camped at Dophkah. WBT 13 And they departed from Dophkah, and encamped in Alush. NIV 13 They left Dophkah and camped at Alush. WBT 14 And they removed from Alush, and encamped at Rephidim, where was no water for the people to drink. NIV 14 They left Alush and camped at Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink. WBT 15 And they departed from Rephidim, and encamped in the wilderness of Sinai. NIV 15 They left Rephidim and camped in the Desert of Sinai. WBT 16 And they removed from the desert of Sinai, and encamped at Kibroth-hattaavah. NIV 16 They left the Desert of Sinai and camped at Kibroth Hattaavah. WBT 17 And they departed from Kibroth-hattaavah, and encamped at Hazeroth. NIV 17 They left Kibroth Hattaavah and camped at Hazeroth. WBT 18 And they departed from Hazeroth, and encamped in Rithmah. NIV 18 They left Hazeroth and camped at Rithmah. WBT 19 And they departed from Rithmah, and encamped at Rimmon-parez. NIV 19 They left Rithmah and camped at Rimmon Perez. WBT 20 And they departed from Rimmon-parez, and encamped in Libnah. NIV 20 They left Rimmon Perez and camped at Libnah. WBT 21 And they removed from Libnah, and encamped at Rissah. NIV 21 They left Libnah and camped at Rissah. WBT 22 And they journeyed from Rissah, and encamped in Kehelathah. NIV 22 They left Rissah and camped at Kehelathah. WBT 23 And they went from Kehelathah, and encamped in mount Shapher. NIV 23 They left Kehelathah and camped at Mount Shepher. WBT 24 And they removed from mount Shapher, and encamped in Haradah. NIV 24 They left Mount Shepher and camped at Haradah. WBT 25 And they removed from Haradah, and encamped in Makheloth. NIV 25 They left Haradah and camped at Makheloth. WBT 26 And they removed from Makheloth, and encamped at Tahath. NIV 26 They left Makheloth and camped at Tahath. WBT 27 And they departed from Tahath, and encamped at Tarah. NIV 27 They left Tahath and camped at Terah. WBT 28 And they removed from Tarah, and encamped in Mithcah. NIV 28 They left Terah and camped at Mithcah. WBT 29 And they went from Mithcah, and encamped in Hashmonah. NIV 29 They left Mithcah and camped at Hashmonah. WBT 30 And they departed from Hashmonah, and encamped at Moseroth. NIV 30 They left Hashmonah and camped at Moseroth. WBT 31 And they departed from Moseroth, and encamped in Bene-jaakan. NIV 31 They left Moseroth and camped at Bene Jaakan. WBT 32 And they removed from Bene-jaakan, and encamped at Hor-hagidgad. NIV 32 They left Bene Jaakan and camped at Hor Haggidgad. WBT 33 And they went from Hor-hagidgad, and encamped in Jotbathah. NIV 33 They left Hor Haggidgad and camped at Jotbathah. WBT 34 And they removed from Jotbathah, and encamped at Ebronah. NIV 34 They left Jotbathah and camped at Abronah. WBT 35 And they departed from Ebronah, and encamped at Ezion-gaber. NIV 35 They left Abronah and camped at Ezion Geber. WBT 36 And they removed from Ezion-gaber, and encamped in the wilderness of Zin, which [is] Kadesh. NIV 36 They left Ezion Geber and camped at Kadesh, in the Desert of Zin. WBT 37 And they removed from Kadesh, and encamped in mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom. NIV 37 They left Kadesh and camped at Mount Hor, on the border of Edom. WBT 38 And Aaron the priest ascended mount Hor at the commandment of the LORD, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel departed from the land of Egypt, in the first [day] of the fifth month. NIV 38 At the LORD's command Aaron the priest went up Mount Hor, where he died on the first day of the fifth month of the fortieth year after the Israelites came out of Egypt. WBT 39 And Aaron [was] a hundred and twenty and three years old when he died in mount Hor. NIV 39 Aaron was a hundred and twenty-three years old when he died on Mount Hor. WBT 40 And king Arad the Canaanite who dwelt in the south in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel. NIV 40 The Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the Negev of Canaan, heard that the Israelites were coming. WBT 41 And they departed from mount Hor, and encamped in Zalmonah. NIV 41 They left Mount Hor and camped at Zalmonah. WBT 42 And they departed from Zalmonah, and encamped in Punon. NIV 42 They left Zalmonah and camped at Punon. WBT 43 And they departed from Punon, and encamped in Oboth. NIV 43 They left Punon and camped at Oboth. WBT 44 And they departed from Oboth, and encamped in Ije-abarim, in the border of Moab. NIV 44 They left Oboth and camped at Iye Abarim, on the border of Moab. WBT 45 And they departed from Iim, and encamped in Dibon-gad. NIV 45 They left Iyim and camped at Dibon Gad. WBT 46 And they removed from Dibon-gad, and encamped in Almon-diblathaim. NIV 46 They left Dibon Gad and camped at Almon Diblathaim. WBT 47 And they removed from Almon-diblathaim, and encamped on the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo. NIV 47 They left Almon Diblathaim and camped in the mountains of Abarim, near Nebo. WBT 48 And they departed from the mountains of Abarim, and encamped in the plains of Moab by Jordan [near] Jericho. NIV 48 They left the mountains of Abarim and camped on the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho. WBT 49 And they encamped by Jordan, from Beth-jeshimoth [even] to Abel-shittim in the plains of Moab. NIV 49 There on the plains of Moab they camped along the Jordan from Beth Jeshimoth to Abel Shittim. WBT 50 And the LORD spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by Jordan [near] Jericho, saying, NIV 50 On the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho the LORD said to Moses, WBT 51 Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, When ye have passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan; NIV 51 "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'When you cross the Jordan into Canaan, WBT 52 Then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite demolish all their high places: NIV 52 drive out all the inhabitants of the land before you. Destroy all their carved images and their cast idols, and demolish all their high places. WBT 53 And ye shall dispossess [the inhabitants] of the land, and dwell in it; for I have given you the land to possess it. NIV 53 Take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given you the land to possess. WBT 54 And ye shall divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families: to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer ye shall give the less inheritance: every man's [inheritance] shall be in the place where his lot falleth; according to the tribes of your fathers ye shall inherit. NIV 54 Distribute the land by lot, according to your clans. To a larger group give a larger inheritance, and to a smaller group a smaller one. Whatever falls to them by lot will be theirs. Distribute it according to your ancestral tribes. WBT 55 But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you; then it shall come to pass, that those which ye let remain of them [shall be] prickles in your eyes, and thorns in your sides, and shall harass you in the land in which ye dwell. NIV 55 " 'But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will give you trouble in the land where you will live. WBT 56 Moreover, it shall come to pass, [that] I shall do to you as I thought to do to them. NIV 56 And then I will do to you what I plan to do to them.' "
