Philippians 4

WEB 1 Therefore, my brothers, beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand firm in the Lord, my beloved. NIV 1 Therefore, my brothers, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, that is how you should stand firm in the Lord, dear friends! WEB 2 I exhort Euodia, and I exhort Syntyche, to think the same way in the Lord. NIV 2 I plead with Euodia and I plead with Syntyche to agree with each other in the Lord. WEB 3 Yes, I beg you also, true yoke-fellow, help these women, for they labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life. NIV 3 Yes, and I ask you, loyal yokefellow, help these women who have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life. WEB 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, Rejoice! NIV 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! WEB 5 Let your mildness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. NIV 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. WEB 6 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. NIV 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. WEB 7 The peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. NIV 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. WEB 8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things. NIV 8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things. WEB 9 The things which you learned, received, heard, and saw in me: do these things, and the God of peace will be with you. NIV 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me--put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. WEB 10 But I rejoice in the Lord greatly, that now at length you have revived your thought for me; in which you did indeed take thought, but you lacked opportunity. NIV 10 I rejoice greatly in the Lord that at last you have renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you have been concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. WEB 11 Not that I speak in respect to lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. NIV 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. WEB 12 I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things have I learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. NIV 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. WEB 13 I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. NIV 13 I can do everything through him who gives me strength. WEB 14 However you did well that you had fellowship with my affliction. NIV 14 Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles. WEB 15 You yourselves also know, you Philippians, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no assembly had fellowship with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you only. NIV 15 Moreover, as you Philippians know, in the early days of your acquaintance with the gospel, when I set out from Macedonia, not one church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving, except you only; WEB 16 For even in Thessalonica you sent once and again to my need. NIV 16 for even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me aid again and again when I was in need. WEB 17 Not that I seek for the gift, but I seek for the fruit that increases to your account. NIV 17 Not that I am looking for a gift, but I am looking for what may be credited to your account. WEB 18 But I have all things, and abound. I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things that came from you, a sweet-smelling fragrance, an acceptable and well-pleasing sacrifice to God. NIV 18 I have received full payment and even more; I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. WEB 19 My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. NIV 19 And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. WEB 20 Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen. NIV 20 To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. WEB 21 Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me greet you. NIV 21 Greet all the saints in Christ Jesus. The brothers who are with me send greetings. WEB 22 All the saints greet you, especially those who are of Caesar's household. NIV 22 All the saints send you greetings, especially those who belong to Caesar's household. WEB 23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. NIV 23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
