Proverbs 15

NAS 1 A gentle answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger. NIV 1 A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. NAS 2 The tongue of the wise makes knowledge acceptable, But the mouth of fools spouts folly. NIV 2 The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouth of the fool gushes folly. NAS 3 The eyes of the LORD are in every place, Watching the evil and the good. NIV 3 The eyes of the LORD are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good. NIV 25 The LORD tears down the proud man's house but he keeps the widow's boundaries intact. NAS 26 Evil plans are an abomination to the LORD , But pleasant words are pure. NIV 26 The LORD detests the thoughts of the wicked, but those of the pure are pleasing to him. NAS 27 He who profits illicitly troubles his own house, But he who hates bribes will live. NIV 27 A greedy man brings trouble to his family, but he who hates bribes will live. NAS 28 The heart of the righteous ponders how to answer, But the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things. NIV 31 He who listens to a life-giving rebuke will be at home among the wise. NAS 32 He who neglects discipline despises himself, But he who listens to reproof acquires understanding. NIV 32 He who ignores discipline despises himself, but whoever heeds correction gains understanding. NAS 33 The fear of the LORD is the instruction for wisdom, And before honor comes humility. NIV 33 The fear of the LORD teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor.
