Proverbs 15:1-6

MSG 1 A gentle response defuses anger, but a sharp tongue kindles a temper-fire. NIV 1 A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. MSG 2 Knowledge flows like spring water from the wise; fools are leaky faucets, dripping nonsense. NIV 2 The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouth of the fool gushes folly. MSG 3 God doesn't miss a thing - he's alert to good and evil alike. NIV 3 The eyes of the LORD are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good. MSG 4 Kind words heal and help; cutting words wound and maim. NIV 4 The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.
