Proverbs 1:15-25

NLT 15 My child, don’t go along with them! Stay far away from their paths. NIV 15 my son, do not go along with them, do not set foot on their paths; NLT 16 They rush to commit evil deeds. They hurry to commit murder. NIV 16 for their feet rush into sin, they are swift to shed blood. NLT 17 If a bird sees a trap being set, it knows to stay away. NIV 17 How useless to spread a net in full view of all the birds! NLT 18 But these people set an ambush for themselves; they are trying to get themselves killed. NIV 18 These men lie in wait for their own blood; they waylay only themselves! NLT 19 Such is the fate of all who are greedy for money; it robs them of life. NIV 19 Such is the end of all who go after ill-gotten gain; it takes away the lives of those who get it. NLT 20 Wisdom shouts in the streets. She cries out in the public square. NIV 20 Wisdom calls aloud in the street, she raises her voice in the public squares; NLT 21 She calls to the crowds along the main street, to those gathered in front of the city gate: NIV 21 at the head of the noisy streets she cries out, in the gateways of the city she makes her speech: NLT 22 “How long, you simpletons, will you insist on being simpleminded? How long will you mockers relish your mocking? How long will you fools hate knowledge? NIV 22 "How long will you simple ones love your simple ways? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge? NLT 23 Come and listen to my counsel. I’ll share my heart with you and make you wise. NIV 23 If you had responded to my rebuke, I would have poured out my heart to you and made my thoughts known to you. NLT 24 “I called you so often, but you wouldn’t come. I reached out to you, but you paid no attention. NIV 24 But since you rejected me when I called and no one gave heed when I stretched out my hand, NLT 25 You ignored my advice and rejected the correction I offered. NIV 25 since you ignored all my advice and would not accept my rebuke,
