Proverbs 25:11-21

NRS 11 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver. NIV 11 A word aptly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver. NRS 12 Like a gold ring or an ornament of gold is a wise rebuke to a listening ear. NIV 12 Like an earring of gold or an ornament of fine gold is a wise man's rebuke to a listening ear. NRS 13 Like the cold of snow in the time of harvest are faithful messengers to those who send them; they refresh the spirit of their masters. NIV 13 Like the coolness of snow at harvest time is a trustworthy messenger to those who send him; he refreshes the spirit of his masters. NRS 21 If your enemies are hungry, give them bread to eat; and if they are thirsty, give them water to drink; NIV 21 If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; if he is thirsty, give him water to drink.
