Psalm 101

ASV 1 I will sing of lovingkindness and justice: Unto thee, O Jehovah, will I sing praises. NIV 1 I will sing of your love and justice; to you, O LORD, I will sing praise. ASV 2 I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way: Oh when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. NIV 2 I will be careful to lead a blameless life-- when will you come to me? I will walk in my house with blameless heart. ASV 3 I will set no base thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; It shall not cleave unto me. NIV 3 I will set before my eyes no vile thing. The deeds of faithless men I hate; they will not cling to me. ASV 4 A perverse heart shall depart from me: I will know no evil thing. NIV 4 Men of perverse heart shall be far from me; I will have nothing to do with evil. ASV 5 Whoso privily slandereth his neighbor, him will I destroy: Him that hath a high look and a proud heart will I not suffer. NIV 5 Whoever slanders his neighbor in secret, him will I put to silence; whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, him will I not endure. ASV 6 Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: He that walketh in a perfect way, he shall minister unto me. NIV 6 My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he whose walk is blameless will minister to me. ASV 7 He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: He that speaketh falsehood shall not be established before mine eyes. NIV 7 No one who practices deceit will dwell in my house; no one who speaks falsely will stand in my presence. ASV 8 Morning by morning will I destroy all the wicked of the land; To cut off all the workers of iniquity from the city of Jehovah. NIV 8 Every morning I will put to silence all the wicked in the land; I will cut off every evildoer from the city of the LORD.
