Psalm 101

NIRV 1 I will sing about your love and fairness. Lord, I will sing praise to you. NIV 1 I will sing of your love and justice; to you, O LORD, I will sing praise. NIRV 2 I will be careful to lead a life that is without blame. When will you come and help me? I will lead a life that is without blame in my house. NIV 2 I will be careful to lead a blameless life-- when will you come to me? I will walk in my house with blameless heart. NIRV 3 I won't look at anything that is evil. I hate the acts of people who aren't faithful to you. I don't even want people like that around me. NIV 3 I will set before my eyes no vile thing. The deeds of faithless men I hate; they will not cling to me. NIRV 4 I will stay away from those whose hearts are twisted. I don't want to have anything to do with evil. NIV 4 Men of perverse heart shall be far from me; I will have nothing to do with evil. NIRV 5 I will get rid of anyone who tells lies about his neighbor in secret. I won't put up with anyone whose eyes and heart are proud. NIV 5 Whoever slanders his neighbor in secret, him will I put to silence; whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, him will I not endure. NIRV 6 I will look with favor on the faithful people in the land. They will live with me. Those whose lives are without blame will serve me. NIV 6 My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he whose walk is blameless will minister to me. NIRV 7 No one who lies and cheats will live in my house. No one who tells lies will serve me. NIV 7 No one who practices deceit will dwell in my house; no one who speaks falsely will stand in my presence. NIRV 8 Every morning I will get rid of all the sinful people in the land. I will remove from the city of the LORD everyone who does what is evil. NIV 8 Every morning I will put to silence all the wicked in the land; I will cut off every evildoer from the city of the LORD.
