CEB 1 Let my whole being bless the LORD! Let everything inside me bless his holy name! NIV 1 Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. CEB 2 Let my whole being bless the LORD and never forget all his good deeds: NIV 2 Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits-- CEB 3 how God forgives all your sins, heals all your sickness, NIV 3 who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, CEB 4 saves your life from the pit, crowns you with faithful love and compassion, NIV 4 who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, CEB 5 and satisfies you with plenty of good things so that your youth is made fresh like an eagle's. NIV 5 who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. CEB 6 The LORD works righteousness; does justice for all who are oppressed. NIV 6 The LORD works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed. CEB 7 God made his ways known to Moses; made his deeds known to the Israelites. NIV 7 He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel: CEB 8 The LORD is compassionate and merciful, very patient, and full of faithful love. NIV 8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. CEB 9 God won't always play the judge; he won't be angry forever. NIV 9 He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; CEB 10 He doesn't deal with us according to our sin or repay us according to our wrongdoing, NIV 10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. CEB 11 because as high as heaven is above the earth, that's how large God's faithful love is for those who honor him. NIV 11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; CEB 12 As far as east is from west— that's how far God has removed our sin from us. NIV 12 as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. CEB 13 Like a parent feels compassion for their children— that's how the LORD feels compassion for those who honor him. NIV 13 As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him; CEB 14 Because God knows how we're made, God remembers we're just dust. NIV 14 for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust. CEB 15 The days of a human life are like grass: they bloom like a wildflower; NIV 15 As for man, his days are like grass, he flourishes like a flower of the field; CEB 16 but when the wind blows through it, it's gone; even the ground where it stood doesn't remember it. NIV 16 the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. CEB 17 But the LORD's faithful love is from forever ago to forever from now for those who honor him. And God's righteousness reaches to the grandchildren NIV 17 But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD's love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children-- CEB 18 of those who keep his covenant and remember to keep his commands. NIV 18 with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts. CEB 19 The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all. CEB 21 All you heavenly forces, bless the LORD! All you who serve him and do his will, bless him! NIV 21 Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will. CEB 22 All God's creatures, bless the LORD! Everywhere, throughout his kingdom, let my whole being bless the LORD! NIV 22 Praise the LORD, all his works everywhere in his dominion. Praise the LORD, O my soul.
