Psalm 108

CEB 1 My heart is unwavering, God. I will sing and make music— yes, with my whole being! NIV 1 My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing and make music with all my soul. CEB 2 Wake up, harp and lyre! I will wake the dawn itself! NIV 2 Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn. CEB 3 I will give thanks to you, LORD, among all the peoples; I will make music to you among the nations, NIV 3 I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. CEB 4 because your faithful love is higher than heaven; your faithfulness reaches the clouds. NIV 4 For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. CEB 5 Exalt yourself, God, higher than heaven! Let your glory be over all the earth! NIV 5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens, and let your glory be over all the earth. CEB 6 Save me by your power and answer me so that the people you love might be rescued. NIV 6 Save us and help us with your right hand, that those you love may be delivered. CEB 7 God has spoken in his sanctuary: "I will celebrate as I divide up Shechem and portion out the Succoth Valley. NIV 7 God has spoken from his sanctuary: "In triumph I will parcel out Shechem and measure off the Valley of Succoth. CEB 8 Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is my helmet, Judah is my scepter. NIV 8 Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine; Ephraim is my helmet, Judah my scepter. CEB 9 But Moab is my washbowl; I'll throw my shoe at Edom. I shout in triumph over Philistia! NIV 9 Moab is my washbasin, upon Edom I toss my sandal; over Philistia I shout in triumph." CEB 10 I wish someone would bring me to a fortified city! I wish someone would lead me to Edom!" NIV 10 Who will bring me to the fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom? CEB 11 But you have rejected us, God, haven't you? You, God, no longer accompany our armies. NIV 11 Is it not you, O God, you who have rejected us and no longer go out with our armies? CEB 12 Give us help against the enemy— human help is worthless. NIV 12 Give us aid against the enemy, for the help of man is worthless. CEB 13 With God we will triumph: God is the one who will trample our adversaries. NIV 13 With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.
