CSB 7 When he is judged, let him be found guilty, and let his prayer be counted as sin. NIV 7 When he is tried, let him be found guilty, and may his prayers condemn him. CSB 8 Let his days be few; let another take over his position. NIV 8 May his days be few; may another take his place of leadership. CSB 9 Let his children be fatherless and his wife a widow. NIV 9 May his children be fatherless and his wife a widow. CSB 10 Let his children wander as beggars, searching [for food] far from their demolished homes. NIV 10 May his children be wandering beggars; may they be driven from their ruined homes. CSB 11 Let a creditor seize all he has; let strangers plunder what he has worked for. CSB 15 Let their sins always remain before the Lord, and let Him cut off [all] memory of them from the earth. CSB 17 He loved cursing-let it fall on him; he took no delight in blessing-let it be far from him. NIV 17 He loved to pronounce a curse-- may it come on him; he found no pleasure in blessing-- may it be far from him. CSB 18 He wore cursing like his coat- let it enter his body like water and go into his bones like oil. NIV 18 He wore cursing as his garment; it entered into his body like water, into his bones like oil. CSB 19 Let it be like a robe he wraps around himself, like a belt he always wears. NIV 24 My knees give way from fasting; my body is thin and gaunt. CSB 25 I have become an object of ridicule to my accusers; when they see me, they shake their heads [in scorn]. CSB 26 Help me, Lord my God; save me according to Your faithful love NIV 26 Help me, O LORD my God; save me in accordance with your love. CSB 27 so they may know that this is Your hand and that You, Lord, have done it. NIV 27 Let them know that it is your hand, that you, O LORD, have done it. CSB 28 Though they curse, You will bless. When they rise up, they will be put to shame, but Your servant will rejoice. NIV 28 They may curse, but you will bless; when they attack they will be put to shame, but your servant will rejoice.
